AIA QUALIFICATION HELPS DREAMS SET SAIL FOR NEW GRADUATES

The Association of International Accountants (AIA), the global body for professional accountants welcomed over 250 new members who successfully completed the AIA-Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CICPA) Conversion course in 2017 to a prestigious graduation ceremony on 26 November 2017.

The graduation ceremony to honour the hard work and sacrifice by AIA graduates was attended by AIA President Les Bradley, along with prestigious guests from the Chinese Association of Chief Financial Officers (CACFO) and the British Embassy, Beijing.

AIA Chief Executive Philip Turnbull celebrated the success of the graduates, commenting: “I personally would like to welcome all of today’s graduates into an inclusive family of International Accountants with heartfelt congratulations. Obtaining such a qualification can be a difficult task and our new members have had to show great commitment and hard work over many years to be standing here today.”

Vice President of CACFO, Mr Li Lin Chi echoed the close relationship between AIA and CACFO, saying: “It was a great pleasure to celebrate the success achieved by AIA graduates. AIA and CACFO have for many years worked in cooperation with great success, and we hope this relationship can continue for many years to come.”

Accountancy shapes great leaders, is a route to corporate success and provides the skills for a solid business background. Both organisations gave public support during the ceremony for China’s One Belt One Road strategy and the opportunities for taking advantage of international membership to grow China’s economy.

Special awards were also presented as recognition for outstanding performance to the Top 10 CICPA Graduates.
